스페이스원에서는 이번 3월 22일 부터 4월 7일 까지 스페이스원의 5 주년 기금모금 전시 ‘스페이스 1 - 5 년 - 작가 20 인'전 을 개최한다. 다양한 배경과 문화 그리고 다양한 장르 (페인팅, 설치, 조각, 미디어, 애니메이션 등)의 매체의 작가 20인의 작품을 선보인다.

스페이스원은 지난 5 년간, 5개의 키워드인 대안, 실험, 국제, 협업 그리고 다양성을 지향하고 지원하며, 200인 이상의 작가, 30개 이상의 국가와 영화, 퍼포먼스, 음악, 무용, 철학, 사회학, 과학, IT 등 분야의 전문가들과 함께했다. 나아가 작고 큰 다양한 갤러리, 기관, 대학교등과 더 폭넓은 외부 전시공간과의 협업 전시, 강연, 패널 토크, 워크숍, 영화상영회, 퍼포먼스등 다양한 프로젝터성 프로그램을 진행해왔다. 2017년 서울 도시 건축 비엔날레, 2017년 독일문화원 동아시아 지역 프로젝트, 2018년 서울문화재단 소셜 프로젝트, 2018년 서울 디지탈재단 프로젝트, 2018년 동남아시아 아트 레지던시 미팅 아티스트가 진행하는 비엔날레등에 참여하며 더 많은 기회와 폭넓은 기획을 선보였다.

스페이스원은 5년이 된 2019년, 키워드 ‘상생' 을 더해 한국의 예술계에 활발히 활동하고 있는 다양한 작가들을 지원하고 확장하는 프로그램을 만들어 나가고 유지하기 위한 노력을 하고 있다.

한국과 외국에서 활발히 활동하고 흥미로운 작업을 하는 20인의 작가들의 작품을 선보이는 이번 전시에 많은 관심 부탁드립니다!

Space One presents ‘SPACE 1-5 YEARS-20 ARTISTS’. Celebrating our five-year anniversary, this fundraiser group exhibition brings together 20 artists working and showing internationally with diverse backgrounds and mediums ranging from drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, video to animation.

Focusing on 5 keywords, alternative, experimental, international, collaborations and diversity, Space One has now worked with over 200 artists and art practitioners, from over 30 countries and with multiple disciplines ranging from film, performance, music, dance, philosophy, sociology, science, IT to name a few. We have also had amazing partnerships and support from various small to large organizations, institutions and Universitie organizing expansive projects including multi-venue exhibitions, lectures, panel talks, workshops, screenings, performances and other events. We have had the great honor of being part of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2017; Goethe-Institut East Asia Project 2017; Seoul foundation for arts and culture’s Social Project 2018; Seoul Digital Foundation Project in 2018; Southeast Asian Art Residencies Meeting VVVA EXCON 2018 (artist-run biennale) and more.

With our 5 year mark, we are adding a new word, SUSTAINABILITY, creating an extension of Space One to strengthen its platform in efforts to continue to create programs and support artists and art practitioners in their endeavors. Please join us as we present some of the most active and exciting artists working in Korea and abroad.
