Anthropocene
Anthropocene 은 작가 송승현, 김쇼나, 여인영의 자연과 인공의 모호한 현실을 3가지 관점에서 다양한 매체로 표현한다. 인간과 자연의 대립점, 즉 도시에 존재하는 이성적 관념과 자연의 충돌, 또는 그들의 공존에 촛점을 맞춘다. 인공적 사물이 내포하는 자연적 속성, 자연이 가진 기계적 요소 등 결코 하나의 답으로 귀결되지 않는 모호한 상태에서 이들은 오히려 그것이 가진 매력적인 모순에 약간은 냉소적이면서 장난스럽게 접근하고 있다.
Anthropocene is a three-artist show between SeunHyun Song, Showna Kim, and InYoung Yeo. Born and raised predominantly in big cities, the three artists portray the ambiguous reality of artificiality and the nature of urban landscape. Anthropocene is a recreation of human logics and nature’s chaos, co-existing in site-specific installation works. The three artists directly reflect the oxymoronic state of the natural-in-artificiality, as well as artificiality-in-the-natural, in a cynical yet amusing manner.
